For the first distribution of funds, which runs through July 1, 2023, each Class Member’s refund check is calculated to equal 91.5972% of the fire service fee portion of your utility bill, which was an illegal tax, collected from that Class Member since February 20, 2010, rounded down to the nearest whole cent.
The City of Ocala has determined the amount of the fire service fee collected from each Class Member based on its database of payments. The Notice Company is unable to provide any additional information on the calculation of fire service fee amounts.
